A day in the life...

Nothing fancy, just a smattering of my thoughts and adventures here in the last frontier.

Sunday April 30

Hi all! It's a lovely Sunday evening and I'm relaxing after a busy day, enjoying the view of the mountains from my window. The days are getting longer and the extra sun makes up for the fact that it is still too cold (in my opinion) for April. It's been 30-40's, although today it did hit 51, talk about a heat wave =) ! The seagulls that you see are just two of the many that reside in the bird sanctuary behind my place. Never one of my favorite birds they have dropped even further down the list since having to deal with their incessant noise and droppings on everything.
Yesterday I ran the 5K Heart Run, it was FREEZING!!!! and as you can see I made it to the front page of the paper. If you squint it doesn't make me any clearer (hee hee) but it's me, honest.
The last pics are just for laughs. My church had an Easter Tea Party for the ladies and we got to decorate our hats. Our pastor stopped by and told me not to quit my day job...I think he may be right but it was fun.

The North Pole

We made a quick pitstop in the North Pole before heading back to Anchorage. It was snowy but not too cold!

Northern Lights

The Northern Lights were gorgeous, try and imagine green and white lights dancing across the sky.

More Ice...

These last ones are for you Sarah!
