A day in the life...

Nothing fancy, just a smattering of my thoughts and adventures here in the last frontier.

England

After two weeks of vacation in England it's nice to be home. I experienced all that England could offer weather wise - fog, snow, rain, sun and just plain ol' freezing temps and packed in a lot of sights. I couldn't have asked for better hosts, thank you Dot and Adrian but trying to fit as much as you can in 2 wks is tiring. Thankfully I had a few days to recover from jet lag before heading back to work. It's a killer. My internal clock is still confused and wakes me up at 4am, not cool when I have to get up at 530am for work. Tower Bridge
That's Buckingham Palace and a cool statue which probably symbolizes something but I don't know what, one can only retain so many facts! The flag was flying so the Queen was in residence but much to busy to wave hello.
A typical London street scene. I did ride one of the double decker buses but didn't sit up top as strollers do not fit up there.
While we didn't get to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace we did get to see the changing of the horse guard.
Tamsin and I got a very nice surprise when James and Storman sent us flowers for Valentine's Day. Out on a hike in Whyteleafe after spending the afternoon with Tamsin's Grandma.
We went out for a Sunday afternoon walk to Ivanhoe. It was super windy but what a great view from the top of this hill.
In front of King's College in Cambridge
A very tired Lilian and her sucky bunny.
And in her mukluks that her cool aunt got her. They're a little big at the moment but they are so cute.

Just a few selections for my fanbase...

A very rainy, grey day at Stonehenge.
I'm looking at Buckingham Palace wishing that the Changing of the Guard was happening but as you can see...
but I did get a shot taken with this accomodating fellow. He couldn't get away, people kept on stopping by for pictures, such a nice English bloke.

To the delight of English children, it snowed and shut down school for 2 days. It was perfect snow for making snowman so here Tamsin and I are with our version of Frosty.
