A day in the life...

Nothing fancy, just a smattering of my thoughts and adventures here in the last frontier.

Fun in GR

It's been a busy 2 1/2wks here in MI and I am tired. It's hard work catching up with everyone! Storman and I flew in June 6th and the horrendous drive from Chicago just confirmed that I'm not supposed to live in big cities. I could feel my blood pressure rising as the hours passed and we only inched forward! I'm not used to such traffic and apparently I drive more aggressively than in Anchorage which made Storman a tad nervous.

Besides visiting family we went to my friend Stephanie's wedding which was very elegant and held outside at Windmill Island in Holland. Steph looked gorgeous and the weather was perfect. This is one of the few shots that turned out of all of us girls.

After the wedding 7 of us headed out to Sandy Pines to stay at the Miedema's trailer which is always a good time. We enjoyed a semi rip-roaring fire and of course smores. We were joined on Sat. by 3 other couples and their children. We had a marvelous time hanging out in the sun, going for a boat ride and of course some tubing. I got a fried but just underneath my swimsuit tie and now have a funky tan, thanks Storman =)!

Kara and Andrea on the beach at Sandy Pines.

Storman looking for the elusive lake seals.

Daphne and Quentin (he's three) and I tubing on the lake. My arms were sore the next day!

Baby Dedication - June 3rd

Since I'm horrible at updating my blog these pics are a little old but in my defense I have been on vacation and family and friends have kept me extremely busy. They can't get enough of me and everyone wanted to meet Storman so I just haven't had the time. ( Hmm, they wanted to meet Storman... maybe I'm not that popular after all. Nah)

Zoe, Logan and Lilian and parents and their Dedication.

And every Dedication should have a Pinata so I made sure to provide one. Jeremy and Joshua (I don't know who is wearing what color) had a lot of fun breaking it apart!

Name game...

Can you guess what this is?

Hint : Fisherman hate them!
