A day in the life...

Nothing fancy, just a smattering of my thoughts and adventures here in the last frontier.

Friday, April 25

I like Alaska but...

... this much snow on April 25th is a little much for me!!!! If only storman would stop doing his stupid snow dance!!! It's supposed to go through to Sunday, blah. I was so ready for spring. Yesterday I went for a walk in the sun and in a t-shirt but now I'm back to winter boots and jacket, sigh! So much for global warming.

Chena Hotsprings in March

It's been awhile since I updated...pathetic I know! These are pictures from a weekend up in Fairbanks. We went to the International Ice Sculpture Park and then headed to Chena Hot Springs to relax and hopfully see some northern lights. We did relax but no northern lights.

It was so cold out that Storman's hair had frosted tips, quite amusing. You can just make them out in the shot of him and Eliot.

They had a kids park with slides and being big kids we took advantage of them! It was fun but a little hard on our butts, ice isn't as forgiving as snow! The ice sculptures were impressive and some of them huge like this bear that we sitting under. We went back at night and saw them all lit up which was gorgeous.
