A day in the life...

Nothing fancy, just a smattering of my thoughts and adventures here in the last frontier.

Memorial Day Weekend

I've decided I need to upgrade to a new camera but until then I will have to be satisfied with my Casio. It might help if I read the manual but that would be work!! I went to PG for Memorial weekend to visit Storman who has been back home since early May so it was really good to see him again!! The first day we went looking for bears but all we saw was bear scat with tp on top of it, who knew the CHARMIN bears came from PG =)! We did hike up to these cool waterfalls and then went and checked out the fish ladder which you can't see because I'm standing in front of it.

We went beach combing on Sunday, didn't find anything extraordinary, just this shell. I'd love to find a Japanese glass buoy but I don't think that will happen.

Most of the families set out nets this time of year so I've had the chance to check it a few times with Storman but a seal ate the king that was in the net yesterday so today we sat out by the net watching for the seal. It didn't show but I did surprise this bear who was taking advantage of the nice sunny weather. He looked kinda little, thankfully no mama bear came charging out!
It's very peaceful here in PG, it's been a nice vacation from Anchorage! Too bad I have to go home tomorrow!

Guess who...?

Isn't she cute! She still is when she's not making faces and she's gonna kill me when she sees these but that's OK. Still not sure who it is? This next one should help you. If not, keep on looking.

That's right, it's my little sis Sarah and she's graduating this Saturday from Calvin College with a degree in Speech Pathology. If you see her give her a big congratulations!!!!

One of my favorite pictures of Sarah, kissing her guns. Congratulations Sarah!!! Wish I could be there, love ya! Your big sis.

Storman's Graduation - May 6

After a very long semester and lots of senioritis Storman graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from UAA. Yay!!!!!

Can you find Storman?

After about 1 1/2hrs(I almost dozed off) the official hand off of the diploma folder took place! Gotta love the range of my camera.

Storman and his sisters Vanessa and Tasha.
